Eid Al-Fitr Night Fest
Background: This project was inspired by the lack of representation in the Muslim community, I wanted to create something that would bring families together to celebrate Eid Al Fitr in a way that truly our religion and cultures in Muslim countries. To bring this vision to life, I designed promotional materials for the Eid Al Fitr Night Fest, a four-day event inviting families to enjoy delicious food, and traditional clothing from different cultures.

Result: I started by creating a colorful poster highlighting the essence of Islam like the mosque. The moon in the poster represents the first day of the moon and Eid al-Fitr. The exact date of Eid al-Fitr depends on the lunar Islamic calendar, specifically the sighting of the new moon. I wanted to keep the poster vibrant, representing the vibrancy of cultures coming together, but it is still soothing to the eye. After making the poster, I made a cohesive Instagram post and additionally made a Website Splash page. This project consisted of many critiques, as a result, I was able to create a cohesive project and I was also able to show my peers more about my religion.
