Skin Deep

Background: At the beginning of 2024, a social media trend emerged showcasing teenagers overconsuming skincare products at Sephora. Many were purchasing items that were not suitable for their skin and misusing testers, which led to frustration among Sephora employees. People were encouraged by influencers, and fell into reckless consumption, with individuals buying excessive amounts of products without considering sustainability or even finance. This situation inspired me to develop a branding project called “Skin Deep”.

Result: I created a poster using the tagline “Finish the Goodness” and designed packaging as a solution, like including a refill carton for liquid skincare products, a tissue box, and a pouch for reusable bags. This project consisted of multiple critiques with my peers which later led to a greater understanding of sustainable practices in the beauty industry.
